- I agree with almost all of the positive comments in all of the reviews on the Green Sprout bibs. However, I am knocking down their rating because I think it is misleading that they did not explicitly, clearly, state what Stage these bibs are. Green Sprouts I believe has 4 stages of bibs: Stage 1 I think is for infants, Stage 4 is for toddlers ages 12 to 24 months. I was looking for a large toddler bib (Stage 4). I had no idea there were different "Stages" of bibs - I ordered this because the pictures made the bib look adequate, and one of the postings said that these are too big for a new born. - My son is 5mos and spits up quite a bit. And he has had a lot of bibs. In my experience they have either been soft but not waterproof or waterproof and like a sheet of plastic around his neck. Until these. They are yes a little bit more on the expensive side but so worth it. They are soft, absorbent, and water proof. They feel like they are a thin terry cloth on both sides of the bib but in between the layers there is apparently a thin plastic-ish barrier. The bibs are really thin and you can't feel the plastic that is there. I only know it is there cause no moisture leaks through to the other side. So, yes I love these.
