- I am from Alabama, but moved to Pittsburgh and this is my first experience with a real winter. I bought this because I needed something to cover my face and after doing my research, I found that this one was the best not only in price but in quality. Reviews for this product were much better than reviews for more expensive gaiters! This morning was my first morning using the chinook, and I can happily say that it is amazing. It kept my nose and mouth covered, and even though it does create that heat trap from your breathe, it goes away so quickly and the fabric dries so quickly so the condensation doesn't freeze on the outside. I definitely recommend this product!
